Chapter 5
Maintenance, Transport, and Storage

5.1 Cleaning and Disinfection

Clean and disinfect the device after each use. Not cleaning the device can cause medication to dry and solidify, leading to electrode and nebulizing sheet aging and affecting normal operation.

  1. Remove the medication cup and accessories from the device body.

  2. Open the cup lid and discard any residual medication.

  3. Disinfect the medication cup:

    • Fill the cup with 75% ethanol solution, cover the lid, and leave it for at least 10 minutes. Gently shake for better disinfection.

  4. Disinfect the accessories:

    • Immerse them in a container with 75% ethanol solution for at least 10 minutes.

  5. Clean the medication cup and accessories:

    • Discard the disinfectant, and rinse thoroughly with clean water.

  6. Clean the nebulizing sheet:

    • Fill the medication cup with clean water, assemble it to the device, and let it run for 10 minutes.

  7. Dry the device:

    • Wipe away water with new medical gauze and fully dry.

  8. Clean the device body:

    • Wipe with 75% medicinal alcohol and air-dry or use a clean, soft cloth.

  9. Store the device:

    • Store the device body, medication cup, and accessories in a dry, clean place.

Attention:

  • Turn off the device during cleaning and disinfection.

  • Do not use purified or distilled water for atomization.

  • Do not maintain the device during normal operation.

  • Do not boil or microwave the medication cup and accessories for disinfection.

  • Ensure parts disinfected with disinfectant are fully cleaned to avoid symptomatic deterioration.

5.2 Medication Cup Replacement

The nebulizing sheet is a consumable with a general service life of six months (assuming use 3 times a day for 20 minutes each). Its lifespan depends on usage, medication, and cleaning. If atomization is reduced or stops, replace the medication cup. Contact the dealer to purchase new medication cups.

5.3 Transport and Storage

Transport and Storage Environment:

  • Temperature: -40℃ to +55℃

  • Relative Humidity: 5% to 96%

  • Atmospheric Pressure: 500 hPa to 1060 hPa

Requirements:

  • Store in a well-ventilated room without corrosive gas.

  • Keep away from children, pets, and insects.

  • Avoid direct sunlight, high temperatures, humidity, dust, and water exposure.

  • Avoid slopes, vibrations, and shocks.

  • Follow general transportation means or contract requirements, avoiding violent shocks, vibrations, and rain/snow exposure during transport.

5.4 Pollution-Free Disposal and Recycling

The product's service life is 10 years. After this period, the device should be scrapped. Contact the manufacturer or distributor for recycling information.

  1. Recycling:

    • Send the device back to the manufacturer or distributor for proper recycling.

  2. Disposal:

    • Return used parts to the manufacturer or distributor for disposal or follow relevant laws and regulations.

Chapter 6
Troubleshooting

If the device can’t start, it is likely due to a low battery. Please charge the device. When there is no atomizing or little atomizing while the device is working, it could be due to improper installation of the medication cup. Check the installation and reinstall it if necessary. Another reason could be an empty medication cup; in this case, add medication, ensuring it does not exceed the maximum capacity. If the medication used is not suitable for the device, consult a doctor. Additionally, a dirty nebulizing sheet can also cause this issue; clean the medication cup to resolve it.

Water around the nozzle of the nebulizer is usually due to temperature differences, causing condensation. Remove the medication cup and pour out the water. If the power indicator lights up for about one second after startup and then goes out, it may indicate that the medication cup is not properly installed. Reinstall the medication cup. If the medication cup is empty, add medication after consulting your doctor.

If the power indicator lights up but the device does not work normally, the battery might be dead. Please charge the device. In cases where the nebulizer doesn’t automatically shut down when the medication is used up, it may be due to bubbles in the medication cup. Press the ON/OFF button to turn off the device and clear the bubbles. Medication might also attach to the nebulizing sheet, so turn off the device and clean the medication cup. Dirty electrodes contacting the medication cup can also cause this issue; clean the electrodes after turning off the device.

A short working hour after charging indicates that the battery may not be fully charged; charge the device again. If the problem persists, the battery might be damaged. Please contact local customer service for assistance. If the device still doesn’t work normally after trying all the above methods, contact our after-sales service for further help.

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)

Warning

  • High-Intensity EM Disturbances: Do not use the device near active high-frequency surgical equipment or in the RF shielded room of an ME system for magnetic resonance imaging, as the intensity of electromagnetic disturbances is high.

  • Adjacent Equipment: Avoid using the NE-M03 next to or stacked with other equipment to prevent improper operation. If necessary, ensure both NE-M03 and the other equipment are operating normally.

  • Non-Specified Accessories: Using accessories, transducers, and cables other than those specified by the manufacturer can increase electromagnetic emissions or decrease immunity, resulting in improper operation.

  • Portable RF Equipment: Portable RF communications equipment should be kept at least 30 cm (12 inches) away from any part of the NE-M03, including cables. Otherwise, the performance of NE-M03 could degrade.

Note: The NE-M03 requires special precautions regarding EMC and should be installed and serviced according to the EMC information provided below. The basic performance includes a nebulization rate of ≥0.25 mL/min. When the device is disturbed, the measured data may fluctuate, so measure repeatedly or in a different environment for accuracy. Other devices may affect this device even if they meet CISPR requirements. The following cable types must be used to comply with interference radiation and immunity standards:

Cable Types:

  • Power cord: Length 1.0 meter
